On February 10, 2026, Elena Nikolaevna Nazemtseva, Doctor of Historical Sciences and Leading Research Fellow at the Department of China at the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences, gave a lecture titled "Russian Istanbul: Impressions of a Journey" at the Memorial Library of Prince G.V. Golitsyn.

In the lecture, Elena Nikolaevna spoke about visiting memorial sites in Istanbul related to the history of Russian post-revolutionary emigration in Turkey, including the Orthodox churches of St. Panteleimon, St. Elijah the Prophet, and St. Andrew the First-Called, the private museum of Russian emigration at St. Andrew the First-Called, the former Russian embassy building, Russian restaurants, the building where the Russian Refugee Information Bureau was located, the house where A. Vertinsky performed, and others.

The lecture also raised the issue of the poor study of the topic of Russian emigration in Turkey by Russian researchers, while noting a greater interest in it among Turkish historians, art historians, philologists, and cultural experts. The lecture was accompanied by a presentation that showed photographs of the main areas of Istanbul associated with the lives of Russian emigrants, churches, and exhibits from a private museum.
