Online Webinar "Palestine: What's Next?"

 
Ahmed Majdalani, Secretary General of the Palestinian Popular Front, Minister of Social Development of Palestine, member of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization, became a guest of honor at the Center of Arab and Islamic Studies (the Institute of Oriental Studies) in terms of the online webinar "Palestine: What's Next?" on July the 8th 2020.

The following topics were the most important during the discussion: the issues of the Palestinian government's strategy in the context of the implementation of the US plan for the Middle East reconciliation, its possible consequences for the Palestinian people, the reaction of the external players to Israel's plans to annex the Palestinian territories, the split between the Hamas and Fatah movements, the prospects for an Arab-Israeli reconcilitaion, Russian-Palestinian relations, and other essental issues important for overcoming the crisis situation in the Middle East.

The event was attended by over 70 scientists, diplomats, experts, students from Russia, Palestine, Egypt, Algeria, Iraq, France, Jordan, and other states. The Ambassadors of Palestine and Syria joined the event.
