Conference “Archival Oriental Studies”
The Institute of Oriental Studies (the Russian Academy of Sciences) announces the holding of the 5th International Scientific Conference "Archival Oriental Studies". The event will be conducted on November the 17th- the 19th, 2021 in Moscow (postponed from November the 11th-13th, 2020).
The conference will be held in a part-time format.
The participants who applied in the year 2020 are requested kindly to confirm their participation and previously submitted topics of reports or send new reports topics to the email address: lineroxana@inbox.ru by June 1, 2021.
The additional acceptance of the conference participation applications continues.

The editorial board reserves the right to select materials for publication.
The following issues are planned to be raised at the conference:
Archival source study as a fundamental branch of Russian oriental studies;
Innovative technologies and features of databases formation and electronic libraries from archival materials and documentary sources in oriental languages;
Traditional and modern methods of working with documentary sources. Russian school of Archival Oriental Studies;
Oriental materials in the funds of Russian and foreign archives: general characteristics, descriptions, cataloging, preservation;
Manuscripts in oriental languages in the collections of Russian libraries and archives.
New studies of oriental documents and materials found in the archives.
It is planned to hold presentations of periodicals and reference editions at the event. These editions and periodicals publish archival materials.
The working languages of the conference will be Russian and English.
